 Tunica is going “Wild”

Bragging rights are up for grabs this weekend as Tunica Main Street hosts the 9th annual Wild Game Cook-off. Think of it as the Memphis in May of wild game. In this 2 day event teams compete in categories such as small and large game, chili, hot wings, sweet tea, desserts and even Bloody Mary and Margarita judging.  If you have a team that would like to join in the fun, contact Tunica Main Street at 662-363-6611 by Thursday, February 24.

Looking for something a little less wild to do? The Café Marie along with High Cotton Wine and Spirits is hosting a wine tasting Monday, February 28. For just $35 per person enjoy an evening of wine paired with heavy hors d’oeurves. Contact Tunica Main Street for reservations. 662-363-6611

Mark your calendars for the Tunica Academy Tennis Tournament held March 11-13 at Tunica National Golf & Tennis. The tournament includes mixed doubles, and women’s and men’s doubles divisions. The deadline to enter is March 7. Contact Meg Coker at 662-541-1801 for details or to register to play.

Tunica Humane Society’s Annual Doggie Dash 5k run/walk will be held on April 30 in downtown Tunica at Rivergate Park. To register please visit www.racesonline.com of call the Humane Society at 662-363-5555. Participants can pre-register for $25 or pay the day of for $30.
